- America Online linked its AOL Instant Messenger service with WebEx (for web conferencing) and Lightbridge (for telephone conferencing). Such capabilities are available to all subscribers of AIM, at about 15c per minute for audio and 33c per minute for screen sharing via WebEx. The new offerings are branded "AIM Business Services". - Snapperfish released a beta of SnapperMail 2.0, its email client for wireless Palm devices. New features: IMAP4 support, SSL support for encrypted traffic, and memory card archiving, among others. Available immediately in beta. treocentral.com
- Vodafone New Zealand is being less than forthcoming about the release date of the BlackBerry solution for Corporate and Individual customers. No pricing has been (publicly) announced, although apparently existing corporate customers can get the Corporate Edition immediately. C'mon guys ... start talking about this ... prolifically ... you've got a much better "wireless email" story than what Telecom New Zealand is offering for $100 per month. BlackBerry from Vodafone
