- There have been a number of changes at Alphalogix since the last time I checked in. It has defined three areas of focus -- person-based collaboration, team-based collaboration, and enterprise portal solutions -- along with products that deliver to each area. - ByteTaxi has released FolderShare 2.0, a synchronization tool for keeping files on any two or more computers up-to-date. Architected as a peer-to-peer offering, similar to the new Groove File Sharing capability in Groove V3. Aimed at individuals with multiple computers, or small teams. - Vignette announced that many customers are "rapidly embracing" its collaboration suite, such as the Vignette Business Workspaces offering it acquired with the Intraspect purchase. Comment: I recognize some of the customer names listed in the press release as long term customers. Perhaps some real numbers -- new customers, revenue growth, seat growth, etc -- would be more appropriate. Regardless, I have a strong positive opinion of the Intraspect offering. Vignette

- Kerio released MailServer 6, a messaging server targeted at small and medium sized enterprises. Kerio is focused on marketing to Exchange 5.5 houses that have not upgraded due to the large infrastructural changes required to move to Exchange 2000 and 2003. Runs on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. A standard feature is the Outlook Connector, "allowing companies to use Microsoft Outlook for sharing and sychronizing calendars, contacts and tasks".
