Today's highlights: Mitel integrates with Office LCS 2005; Intellisync Mobile Suite for BlackBerry;
- Mitel announced that its Contact Center Solution, for call center applications, has been integrated with Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 and Office Communicator 2005, to deliver telephony and presence capabilities to contact centers. Available 3Q2005. InformationWeek
- Intellisync announced forthcoming support for RIM BlackBerry devices in its Mobile Suite. This means that the Intellisync server will be able to support all classes of devices, rather than organizations deploying BlackBerry Enterprise Server to do the BlackBerries and Intellisync to do everything else. Key features: support for all of BlackBerry's built-in capabilities, wireless email to BlackBerry devices and others, and push-based support for enterprise applications (CRM, SFA, etc), among others. Comment: this is the holy grail for wireless email and data applications in the enterprise. Intellisync looks like it will be the first to pull it off.
