- America Online acquired Xdrive, a provider of online storage and backup services. Xdrive will remain a standalone subsidiary of the AOL Digital Service business unit. Financial terms were not disclosed. Xdrive
- EMC is eyeing new software acquisitions to consolidate the market for products used to store and manage data. Reuters
- Aftermail became a member of the EMC Centera Partner Program. The partnership is supposed to enable joint customers to achieve a highly-available low total cost-of-ownership for storage. EMC
