- Good Technology announced a partnership with A.A. Turki Corporation for Trading and Contracting, a firm focused on the Middle East, for the introduction of GoodLink (wireless email) and GoodAccess (wireless application access) across the Arab world. - Upstartle is beta trialing Writely, a browser-based document sharing service. Users can create a page, write the content they want, and then share the page for subsequent edits or reading only. Upstartle is not currently accepting further beta applicants. Comment: Marc Orchant has a beta license, and was openly offering the ability for others to experience Writely by getting edit rights to one of his pages. He's closed that offer now. - Vignette Corp. announced the addition of six value added resellers in the United States and Canada, for its collaboration and portal products. The six are: Infused Solutions, Intelligent Technology Systems, Laurus Technologies, LCN Technology, Sharpe Consulting, and SIS Technologies. - RIM announced partnerships with Advanced Info Service Plc (AIS) and True Corporation Plc for the release of the BlackBerry wireless email service in Thailand. Both will offer BlackBerry for Exchange, Domino and Groupwise to corporate customers.
- Jive Software released Version 2.2 of Live Assistant, its XMPP-based offering for real-time sales and support conversations. Key features: integrates with Google, Salesforce.com, Jive Software and other repositories for quick searching, one-to-one and conference IM chats, customizable routing system, and more.
