- Socialtext will make 80% of its software open source, with Wikiwyg the first product to be offered. It plans to make its money from professional services engagements. Socialtext
- Microsoft is hosting a developers conference on November 7 and 8 for Microsoft Exchange 12. Developers and major ISVs are invited. Sessions include E12 architecture, E12 programmability roadmap, and synchronization architecture and roadmap, among others. ENT News
- Information Mapping recently surveyed 600 professionals about email usage. They discovered that some professionals spend up to 75% of their day in email, and conclude that this leaves only two hours a day to "actually perform their respective functions".
