  • Email Ain't 5 Minutes Ago ... Francois rebuffs some of the logic underlying BusinessWeek's recent article on the immiment death of email. This was a good line: "While I agree that email does not work for most group collaboration scenarios - some of the tools mentioned in the article don't work any better. You cannot really collaborate through IM, nor can you truly collaborate through blogs. You can communicate through IM and have conversations through blogs - both of which may be components of collaboration, but clearly not the total solution." Emergence Marketing

  • RIM's In Trouble ... Judge Spencer refused to delay the RIM vs. NTP case so that the United States Patent Office could complete its analysis of the validity of the patents. He also rejected the $450 million agreement that RIM said NTP had accepted in March 2005. RIM is going to appeal.   • Now RIM's in Trouble in the UK ... Inpro Licensing Sarl, based in Luxembourg, is suing RIM for infringing on a UK patent related to the relay of data between BlackBerry devices and the Internet. Bloomberg
